Sardines – they are less likely to harbor any significant levels of mercury and PCBs, but are rich in healthy omega-3 fatty acids. You can actually skin and cook them to further lower any mercury/PCB presence. Most of the contaminants are in the skin.

Eggs fortified with omega-3 fatty acids – eggs are a low calorie source of protein and when they are enhanced with omega-3 fatty acids that can be a good source of anti-inflammatory properties. Hard-boiling eggs, unlike scrambling or poaching them, may reduce the omega-3 fortification.
