This Week Some of My Tips Are from Dr. Oz’s Show
This week some of my tips are from Dr. Oz’s show – Ultimate Diet Tips for the Summer-
Some reasons people give for diet failure:
- Cost and convenience are 2 reasons why diets fail.
- Maybe you haven’t found the right diet that fits you and your lifestyle (and pocket book)
Maybe SPF is the answer-
Seasonal vegetables and fruits – They are more affordable, have fewer calories, are great sources of nutrients like apricots and are high sources of vitamin C which can help to metabolize fat. Think okra, peaches, and watermelon to name a few.
Price – You may diet better if you can find inexpensive, affordable foods like yogurt, quinoa, green tea, snap peas, and beans are affordable foods with excellent nutrient value.
Fat fighters – Of course exercise can help to burn calories, but other fat fighters include citrus fruits like grapefruit that contains vitamin C, which helps to recruit fat in your body by producing carnitine. Meats like bison meat, has less fat and lots of protein which satiates us without a lot of artery-clogging fat. And watermelon is big and bulky but it’s not energy dense (caloric), which means you can eat volume without gaining weight. It’s also low in pesticides. A great chilled summer soup is a gazpacho made with watermelon.
