Going Green
in
Going green can be challenging, especially when you are shopping for cleaning products. Companies can make a "green" or "natural" claim, and still contain certain harsh or questionable chemicals and ingredients.
- Look for green certified logos with the EPA’s label
- Look for the Green Seal logo
- Avoid aerosol sprays which typically use VOCs (volatile organic compounds)
- Buy cleaners that are fragrance free
If the label also contains warnings that include the words corrosive, flammable, poison or if they have excessive warnings, you should also suspect that it is not a natural or green product.
