Get your kids moving

With physical education woefully missing in many school programs, you need to make sure your kids get enough daily exercise. Why not walk them to and from school if possible? Enroll them in after school sports if there are programs in your neighborhood. If your neighborhood is not safe for walking, then consider dancing with them or following a Zumba exercise DVD at home.

Experts say that modeling the behaviors you want to see your kids engaged in is key to inspiring healthy habits in youngsters. Don’t just tell them to do it – do it with them as well!
