A Friend Request!

A run on the treadmill, push-ups and sit-ups, or even a walk around the block. All great ways to get your exercise for the day. However, they aren't the most exciting tasks to do when you are by yourself. It's amazing what a difference adding a friend can make in the fun and length of your workouts.Jake Ross

When you work out by yourself, many times all you can think about is the tediousness of the task. Working out with a friend or even a group of people can take all the "pain" out of the workout. A game of ultimate Frisbee burns about 550 calories/hour, which is more than an hour on the treadmill! The task becomes much more enjoyable when it's fun and you are including people you like spending time with.

This week, call a friend and try a new outdoor activity together. Whether its bike riding, yoga, or even a leisurely walk, you can find a new aerobic activity to benefit your body while also becoming closer with a friend!
