From The Dr. Oz Show - Gas Facts

  • Rice is one of the least gas-provoking carbs when compared to other grains
  • See a doctor if you have persistent bloating for more than 2 weeks
  • What’s the best thing to do to ease bloating after a meal? Go for a walk which helps to move food through your digestive tract and it allows any gas produced during the meal to be relieved.

Other ways to relieve bloating include:

  1. Drink water which will help to flush your digestive system
  2. Outsmart PMS bloat by cutting back on salt the week before you expect your period.
  3. Identify gassy foods like cruciferous vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage) and beans
  4. If you eat dairy products, try lactose free options
  5. Monitor your medications since some can encourage gas production.
