Don’t wait till Christmas time for Chia

You may only associate chia seeds with those little planters that show up every year, around Christmas. Well, chia seeds are really healthy and can be a great addition to your diet. They’re rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, protein, zinc, calcium, iron and other minerals. They may also help to slow absorption of sugar, so adding them to dishes may mean you reduce the risk of rapid blood sugar elevations.

How do you eat these seeds?

Add them to cereal, yogurt, smoothies, soups and salads.
