Jordan S. Davis is a Managing Partner of Radius Ventures, a health and life sciences venture capital firm. Prior to his tenure with Radius, Jordan served as a Managing Director at KBL Healthcare, Inc., a healthcare venture capital and investment banking organization, and co-founded and served as Vice President and Director of KBL Healthcare Acquisition Corp., a publicly-traded Specified Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC).
Currently Chief Executive Officer and Managing Member of Watermark Medical, LLC., Sean Heyniger has 20 years of experience in healthcare. Sean Heyniger is an associate with SCF Growth Equity. Mr Heyniger was formerly founder & CEO of PDSHeart, a leading provider of cardiac monitoring services. In 2007, Mr. Heyniger successfully sold PDSHeart to CardioNet Inc., a leading provider of wireless mobile cardiac monitoring solutions. Before founding PDSHeart, Mr. Heyniger was Sales VP of PSS Medical Supplies.
Thomas J. Higgins is currently Vice President - General Manager of Developed Markets forMerck Consumer Care Group. He is responsible for Merck Consumer Business in Canada, Mexico, Australia, Western Europe, Japan. Most recently, he was Vice President of Marketing for Schering-Plough Consumer Healthcare. There, he was responsible for the strategic marketing planning and execution for the Suncare, Footcare and OTC businesses. Previously, he led the OTC Marketing efforts, including the Rx to OTC switch of Claritin. Mr. Higgins joined Schering-Plough in April 2000 after holding various positions at Vlasic Foods International (formerly of Campbell's Soup Company), London International Group, Johnson & Johnson, McNeil Consumer Products, and Frito-Lay, Inc.
Dr. Benjamin Lewis, a board-certified cardiologist, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University and an Assistant Attending at both the Presbyterian Hospitals and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Dr. Lewis received his Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Lewis has devoted his career to the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. His particular focus is on the increased use of lifestyle approaches, medical therapies, and noninvasive, nonradioactive techniques - in particular, ultrasound - for the diagnosis and management of heart-disease patients.
Alex Markowits is Founder, President and CEO of Spring Hills Senior Communities. Founded in 2001, Spring Hills now operates in multiple states. He was responsible for the creation of the company's innovative "Signature Touches" initiative, which integrates a healthy living approach to every aspect of a Spring Hills Community resident's life.
Mr. Markowits is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and has a reputation for turning around troubled senior communities. He also serves as an Executive Board Member for the Health Care Association of New Jersey, which represents more than 350 nursing, subacute care, assisted living, adult day health care and related care facilities, and is Chairman of HCANJ's Education Committee.
Anthony E. Meyer, 47, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of privately-held Meyer and Co. LLC, a diversified merchant banking firm based in New York City with interests in "entrepreneurial" and venture capital, real estate and "family office" management. He also serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Ocean Road Advisors, Inc., a family office management and investment company for several leading New York City-based families, which manages a portfolio in excess of $800 million invested on behalf of numerous client entities in a broad range of investment strategies, including public and private equities, hedge funds, real estate, and venture capital.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, HealthCorps Co-Founder and Chairman, is Vice-Chair and Professor of Surgery at Columbia University. He directs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary Medicine Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital. His research interests include heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, complementary medicine and health care policy. He has authored over 400 original publications, book chapters, and medical books and has received several patents. He performs 250 heart operations annually. For five years, he served as Dr. Oz is the Health Expert on The Oprah Winfrey Show and is now host of syndicated talk show, “The Dr. Oz Show.” Dr. Oz is also the host of a daily talk show on Sirius XM Radio's "Oprah & Friends." He authored five New York Times Best Sellers including “You: The Owner’s Manual,” “You: The Smart Patient,” “YOU: On a Diet,” and “YOU: Staying Young,” as well as the award-winning “Healing from the Heart” and has a regular column in Esquire and O magazines.
Jill Posnick is a marketing professional specializing in corporate communications and strategic positioning. Most recently, she was a senior executive at Accenture, the $23 billion global management consulting and technology services company, where she was a member of the marketing management committee and led the global marketing function for its Government division. During her 12-year tenure at Accenture, Ms. Posnick served as a principal company spokesperson and held a variety of senior roles, including director of industry analyst relations.
