He performed his residency in internal medicine at Harvard's Beth Israel Hospital and completed Public Health Service at the National Institutes of Health in the laboratory of Irv Kopin and Nobel Prize winner Julius Axelrod.  |

Annemarie Colbin, PhD., CHES, is a health educator and an award-winning writer, consultant and lecturer. She is adjunct professor of nutrition in the Graduate Program of Oriental Medicine at Touro College, and also teaches at Empire State College. Dr Colbin is the founder of the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts in New York City, which offers career programs and public classes in health-supportive cooking and natural healing.

Gass, M.D., FACC, is Director of Advanced Cardiac Failure and Transplantation at Westchester Medical Center treating patients with end-stage heart failure, which he has done for most of his career. Previously, Dr. Gass served for 14 years as Medical Director of New York Mount Sinai's Heart Transplant Program from its inception in 1991. He personally followed hundreds of patients in various stages of heart failure, achieving survival rates among the top in the country.
